Welcome to Xich Lo! It is our spices that gives our food the real taste of Vietnam. Ginger, lemon grass and chili used to prepare the fish, like in the imperial city of Hue. The aroma of cilantro and scallions is as titillating as the herbs in the markets by the mighty Mekong River. The taste of tamarind is as fresh as the green Tamarindtrærne in Saigons many avenues. Sour lime and garlic over thin slices of meat ax, reminiscent of the delicious dishes in Hanoi.

The way we cook meat and poultry, is inspired from the French cuisine. That way, our Vietnamese food gets the best of both cuisines. However, our fish soup is made from Norwegian quality fish, with a slightly sour taste - just like the housewives of the Mekong Delta makes it.
